How do you stop clenching or grinding your teeth in your sleep without using a mouth guard?

I have the same problem. I grind my teeth when I sleep and the mouthguard is the only solution I can come up with. I know it's uncomfortable but you'll get used to it!

How do you stop clenching or grinding your teeth in your sleep without using a mouth guard?
Sorry, there's no way.
Reply:don't eat anything 2hrs. before you go to sleep.
Reply:There is no other best way to stop grinding to save your smile just get one night guard and get used to it:)
Reply:OOO. sorry to hear you have bruxism.. so do i. And i've tried mouth guards and they are so uncomfortable, some of them would fall outta my mouth, make me drool. So i heard you can "train" yourself, by placing your tounge a little bit in between the your teeth. Ive tried it to no prevail. I had a dental appt. this week, looks like a night guard is the only way. My dentist did say it could be stress related too. My teeth hurt RIGHT now, i clenched so much last night.
Reply:Mouth guard is the only way. I clench in my sleep and sometimes during the day. My dentist made me a splint that goes over my lower teeth and it has helped tremendously.
