My ferret seems to be grinding his teeth. What should I do about this, and is it normal?

He is only about 3 months old and only does it when he's eating

go find you a hunk of tree, anice thick branch.he needs to chew to grind his teeth down. they have to nawg on something. i find they like the small soda bottles. they love to chew of the lids. if they don't chip their teeth down he won't be able to eat.
Reply:its probably normal but call the vet and ask... r u sure hes not just trying to get the food way smaller?
Reply:Sometimes they need to be trimmed.. sometimes they are loosing baby teeth, sometimes it is an infection (or it could be just to annoy you) if you are concerned though call your vet
Reply:his fang are getting to sharp and he is filling them down, with ferrets, hamster, gerbil etc,all members of the rodent family their teeth never stop growing, and if they don't file them down the teeth can grow threw the bottom lip,or cause them not to be able to eat or drink,or cause other heath problems.
