If someone is constantly grinding their teeth?
could be tourettes.
Reply:jaw out of line?

My daughter needed braces. The ortho said it caused her to grind her teeth and make her jaw click. My son actually ground down his teeth and had to have them built up with metal.Luckily these were his baby teeth and it's over with now.
Reply:I grind my teeth constantly all through the day.

It wears my teeth down slightly, says my dentist, but otherwise not an issue.
Reply:This can be a sigh of stress, especially in men, when it occurs while sleeping. I have only seen it once when this guy was awake. This could lead to jaw problems.
Reply:The "clacking" is the sides of the jaw. Grinding comes along with this.

He should be wearing a mouth piece to bed in the evening. Prevents the grinding.

His jaw should be looked at by a dentist. Can't remember what causes the clacking.
Reply:usually stress or anxiety. sometimes its just habit to grind your teeth, ie when asleep watching tv or concentrating.
