Does anyone have a dental night guard, it is for teeth grinding at night. Do you wear it and does it work?

Yes, I have a night guard for grinding %26amp; it's helped lots!! I have fewer headaches and the muscles in my jaw aren't sore as much.

Reply:I have used one and it does work, but my mouth would water a lot with it in and then I would wake up all congested from it and therefore wouldn't get a good nights sleep.
Reply:I just got my night guard about a week ago. My periodontist said that the salivating is beacuse your body thinks it's food and that with time, it will reduce and go away. I've already has periodontal surgery several times and the guard is reducing the stress in my mouth to hopefully prevent the need for aother surgery. I sound like I'm a teen with braces, and I drool a bit, but that's a small price to pay to keep my teeth.
