What is the fastest and easiest treatment for bruxism or teeth grinding?

see your dentist and get a "bite plate". They work great and you have immediate relief. But it is only a temporary fix not a cure. But it will prevent you wearing down your teeth(like mine did). If you have insurance they pay most of it.

Other commercial bite plate may not fit properly and cause more wearing of your teeth or gum tissue as well as cause of suffixation by cutting off you airway while you sleep.

I had one made and I like it a lot. I have crappy insurance and had to pay quite a bit but it was worth it.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Go to the dentist and have a form made that keeps the back teeth from being able to meet; also sometimes works for tension headaches.
Reply:A custom made night guard prescribed by a dentist. This is a quick fix, but may not address the underlying problem.

If your grinding is caused by poor occlusion (how your teeth come together), you might benefit from braces or other reconstruction.

Night guards run from $300 to $500 in the US.
Reply:I'm a dentist.

An occlusal guard. Fast, easy, simple, painless, TOTALLY non-invasive and TOTALLY reversible.

Patients cringe when I tell them that the fee for one is $400. They last for years, and help prevent much more serious (and more expensive) problems from occurring.
Reply:it is a really bad habit to grind your teeth. i started when i was 6 and didn't stop until i turned 8 or so. it wore down my back teeth SO much. i had to get serious fillings. there is no easy way to stop, but i would suggest fiddling with something like a worry stone. i know it's not the same at all, but you need to stop. my family helped me out a lot on this, try to get your friends to help you stop too.
