Can grinding weaken your teeth?

I grind a lot and i want to know does it weaken your teeth o_O

Can grinding weaken your teeth?
Yes, and you can damage you tempora-mandibular joint. At Walmart, you can buy something to wear at night to stop teeth grinding. It is where the floss is located. It will probably take some getting used to. It is less than $20.
Reply:Yes. Grinding your teeth does just that; grinds them down.

Try consulting your medical consultant about possible methods of correcting this habit.
Reply:Yes, I gnash my teeth, and they are being worn down.
Reply:Yes it can. It can also be bad on your jaw bones and cause fractures. I grind my teeth too and sometime my jaws really hurt, especially if I do it while I am sleeping.
Reply:YES!! i used to do that when i was a little girl. It can hurt your jaw, not just your teeth. when u grind, ur bascially eating @ your teeth, and putting A LOT of pressure on your jaw. you can though instead of going to the doctor, u can go to Walmart and get a mouth gaurd, that should do the trick!! God Bless!!
Reply:I have TMJ. Grinding your teeth will not only weaken them it will cause you to eventually wear down you jaw bones. Tell yourself not to grind you teeth every time you catch yourself doing it. That will remind your sub concious.
