Well, chat to Dr,Health visitor, meanwhile can you give baby anything safe to chew? : Teething ring ?You can get ones that you chill/freeze, also bicky pegs( very tough biscuits for chewing)

Babies must be supervised at all times with food though. Sure an ordinary teething ring will be fine, and safe to put in cot too.

baby will be fine, try not to worry,

Also teething gel can help soothe those poor gums, best of luck, ignore idiots above!
Reply:he may be doing that for a reason. have you taken him to the doctor
Reply:who cares. those teeth will fall out and he'll have new ones in a few years
Reply:Ices will help the gums which will relax the teeth. You can also give him alot of soft chewy foods. I would also suggest a teething ring. You can also gice him crushed ice.
Reply:Honestly, your baby will stop once he/she is used to having teeth. All my kids did this and their teeth are fine.

It's almost like they are playing with their teeth, becoming familiar with them.

You can try distracting your baby with teething rings and toys in the mean time.
Reply:I wouldnt worry about it too much. At 8 months teeth are still a bit of a novely and the fact they make a noise is encouragement to grind. Teeth are pretty tough and its acid that causes more damage than grinding. I have been grinding my teeth for 30 years and not worn them too much.

Its is true that they are baby teeth and your child will lose them anyway to make way for adult / second teeth but not for many years. There is not a lot you can do apart from providing teething rings/cooling rings while he/she is teething.
Reply:Check with your health visitor but its pretty normal. Its an instinctive thing, helps to sort out occlusions %26amp; create an even bite.
Reply:the baby is probably doing this to ease the gum pain and if you get some orajel or some type of teething pain reliever it should help, you can also give the baby a teething ring or wet a washcloth and put it in the freezer and freeze it then let then chew on it. If this persists I'd take the baby to your doctor.
Reply:theres nothing you can do really both mine done it, just try to distract them when it happens.
Reply:my baby 1 now he is grinding his teeth since he was 4 months..noting to worryy
