she has been making a loud grinding noise with her teeth and hasn't been acting normal what is wrong with her? should i take her to the vet? or it something i can take care of.
My rabbit is making a grinding noise with her teeth!!?
When rabbits grind their teeth they may be in pain. Especially if they grind their teeth very loudly. If it is a quiet grinding then they are content just like when a cat purrs. If she isn't acting normally you probably should take it to the vet...
Reply:i think your rabbit has a 'deformed' teeth. i think you should take her to the vet.
or its just your rabbit had been cursed.
be good to others okay?
Reply:It could be a tooth problem or it could be aggression. When she grinds her teeth does she "thump" her back feet too? If so it's aggression. I would bring her to the vet just to be on the safe side.
Reply:Rabbits' teeth constantly grow and you must provide them with some type of chew item. Usually wood blocks are good. they must grind their teeth down, or else they could really hurt themselves.
Reply:If she is grinding her teeth loudly and is not acting normally, she is either in pain or very ill.
Rabbits, because they are prey animals hide illness symptoms.
Please take her to the Vet immediately.
If she is in pain she wont eat or drink enough. If she doesn't have enough material in her gut, it will stop going and enter a state known as GI stasis. Without prompt vet treatment this is FATAL.
I hope the vet can help your bunny friend.
