How do i stop grinding teeth at night and my teeth are moving?
Try some false teeth.
Reply:See your dentist for a night guard.
Reply:Go to your dentist and get a night guard
Reply:You might have TMJ. Talk to your doctor about it. Left untreated, it can cause severe jaw pain and might require surgery. Please, see your doctor.
Reply:You could get a teeth guard, or for a cheap solution, plug your nose at night so you breath through your mouth. Laying on your back might help also.
Reply:It may be very hard to stop it all together as....hello! You are asleep when this happens.
However, you should ask your dentists about it. If the grinding continues, you could actually damage your teeth, or simply weart them down way before their time. There are mouthpieces (quite like mouth guards for sports) that are made to wear at night so that if you do grind your teeth, it will minimize the damage. Also, some people end up biting their lips or tongue while asleep. The teeth guards can also help minimize those types of cuts and injuries.
Reply:I don't think that you can really STOP grinding because it's in your subconcious but you can go to someplace like Wal-Greens and get a night guard.... It's like a rubber mouth piece that molds to your teeth and helps prevent the damage that grinding causes!
Hope this helps!
Reply:this is not a problem with your teeth...its a problem with your intestines or stomach.....you might have worms...
Reply:Sorry to hear that, but there are many studies in the Neuro department at Mayo Clinic online,www.mayoclinic.com or www.ama.com and surf for mayo then ask in the search box the area of studies. They have a few medicines for sleep modes and nervous disorders, but check with your local physician first before taking if in fact you have an allergic reaction to any of the prescribed medicines they suggest. Good luck
Reply:Well if false stick in solution over night if not false I guess there`s a strong possibility you are showing signs of anxiety about something see a dentist anyway just to put your mind at ease.
Reply:get a night guard from your dentist or orthodontist
Reply:Go to your local drug store and purchase the "Doctors Nightguard." It's very similar to a sports mouth piece only better because you can mold it to fit properly in your mouth.
It's not uncomfortable and won't affect your ability to sleep. You will no longer have a jaw ache or neck pain due from grinding. You're grinding will most likely never stop. So get a nightguard from the store or your dentist to prevent eliminating enamel from your teeth and to eliminate the pain or future pain from your grinding.
Reply:You really do need to see your dentist if they are good they will send you to a consultant it does sound like TMJ there is a site TMJ.com that is very good only get checked out as soon as you can you don't want to end up like me with a very severe jaw problem good luck
Reply:Ask your dentist about having a night guard made. You will need to have impressions taken, they're sent off to a lab and the dentist gets it back about one to two weeks later. You will probably have to pay privately unfortunately at the practise i work at they cost about £30.00. Most people don't think they'll get on with it but after a while you'll find you can't sleep with out it!!!!
Hope this helps.
