HELLO,

THE REASON WHY YOU GRIND IS STRESS NOT TORI, THESE BONY PROTUBERANCES HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH GRINDING. YOU'VE HAD THEM ALL YOUR LIFE BUT SOME DENTIST FRIGHTENED YOU WITH A TECHNICAL LATIN NAME. HERE'S A PHOTO ON THEM AND MORE INFO:

Reply:Really? Try having one the size of a peach pit in the roof of your mouth for years. My daughter has them along the entire gumline of her bottom teeth. I do not think this is why you are grinding your teeth.
Reply:i dont know what that is...........sorry..............hope.......
Reply:did you have any work done, like fillings, or something, they could be "high" or touching first when you close your mouth, and your muscles are trying to find the right way to close, like it used to be. and about the tori, you can have it removed, but unless you plan on wearing dentures or partials in the future there is no need. if it doesn't hurt don't mess with it!
