1 year old daughter grinding teeth.?

My daughter just recently started to grind her teeth.

She only has two bottom and two top teeth.

Just wondering if any other parents had their children

do this and what they did to help stop it.

I am assuming this isn%26#039;t good for her teeth.

Thanks.

Regular dental visits should start when they are 3 unless obvious damage is present. as far as the grinding goes, plug your ears thats what I did. She will stop eventually. Not a cause to see a dentist unless her teeth are chipping. good luck, hope this helps
Reply:ouch....that would hurt grinding ur front and bottom teeth...maybe see ur local dentist.
Reply:I cringe just thinking about that, my son did the same thing when he had two teeth on top and two on the bottom. They are just experimenting, they make a super cool noise that make people shudder lol. It was just a phase, he stopped on his own and his teeth are fine.
Reply:my son is now just over 2, and when he was about one he did the same thing. i think it is just that he learned something new to do with his body. he did it for about a month, and then he stopped. i never bothered him about it,figuring it was just a new thing, a phase (it was!). just keep an eye on you daughter%26#039;s teeth, and if you can notice them being ground down, talk to her doctor. also if your daughter keeps it up for a very long time. but i am sure it is no big deal!
