My 9 month daugher is grinding her teeth!?

My 9 month daughter has 2 bottom teeth, and her one of her top teeth just starting coming thru. She has starting grinding her teeth together. Any suggestions? Do I have to worry about her ruining her teeth? I am a 1st time mother, and need some help!! Thanks so much!!!

My son did this a lot when he first got both top and bottom teeth as well. I couldn%26#039;t stand the sound, it sounded like marbles clacking together! I, too, was worried about him ruining his teeth and asked his pedi. about it, and she assured me it was a phase, and that he%26#039;d eventually stop. Still, I%26#039;d try and give him something to chew on when he did this. Just as I was learning to live with it, he stopped!

Reply:My little guys does the same thing. There is nothing to worry about. It is a new feeling for them. If she continues to do it for a long time I would talk to the doc.
Reply:All babies grind their teeth ..I know all mine did..they eventually stop. it%26#039;s cause they are just getting use to have something new in their mouth...I shouldn%26#039;t worry too much.

Reply:My almost 11 month old son has two bottom teeth and when his first top tooth broke through he started to grind his teeth as well. He`s also got his other top tooth coming in to...He dosen`t do it often now but every once in awhile he will...If your daughter keeps doing it for along period of time I would ask your doctor.
