How do I get my 10 month old to stop grinding his teeth and biting his crib???

My son has his two uppers and lower front teeth and he keeps grinding them together I would like to know how to stop this. I just notice that he is biting or scraping he teeth on the crib where we can not put protectors on due to it curving a little bit. I would like to know how I can make him stop doing that or if there is anything that I can use to cover up the wood so that way he can not bite the railing?

Oh I went through this exact thing!!!

Okay, firstly, they grind their teeth because they%26#039;re getting used to them. After about 2 weeks, my son stopped grinding.

He also used to bite his crib rail. So what I did was covered it with a baby blanket:

I took 1 blanket and folded it in half longwise. Draped it over the crib railing. Took my scissors and started at one end cutting strips out of the blanket in the front of the railing and the back. Tied the front strips to the back strips into a knot and voila! A makeshift railing cover that can be washed and didn’t cost me a dime!
Reply:they make teething rails for the crib..because when babies are teething they chew on everything to help cut their teeth. So try getting one and give it time it will stop.
Reply:A little boy I babysit for did this for awhile before his 1st birthday, and it drove me CRAZY! Just the sound of grinding teeth is like nails on a chalkboard. He also totally chewed a dent in his crib. His parents are both pretty easy-going people, and they just ignored it, so I did too. He eventually outgrew it and stopped.

I think he just liked using his new teeth!
