How can I prevent my teeth from grinding while I sleep?

I keep getting chronic tension headaches...and when I went to the doctor my sister had told him that I grind my teeth really bad at night when I%26#039;m sleeping. How can I prevent this from happening again?

Go for the mouth guard. A muscle relaxer could work, but then again, why not spend a modest amount of money on something you get at a drug store instead of having a prescription for muscle relaxers. Aside from a doctor, mention this to your dentist. My dentist is the person who told me I must have been grinding my teeth at night (I never realized it) . He/she will probably also suggest a mouth guard, but it%26#039;s always worth it to get their opinion because maybe one brand is better or something.
Reply:Get a mouth piece/guard. Your Dr should have told you that! The sell them at all pharmacies!
Reply:You can purchase a mouth guard at any drug store. Also, some doctors prescribe mild ant-anxiety meds. to be taken at night.
Reply:Take a muscle relaxer before you go to bed.
