Son 7 months old grinding teeth?

my son is 7 months old. hes got two teeth on the bottom and two teeth on the top. what i was wondering is is it ok that he grinds his teeth quite frequently? i know its something new and hes just discovering it, but since he does it so often, will it cause any issues or longer term effects?

my son did that only for one day, but from what I heard... this is just a phase because his teeth is growing and it may not be comfortable for him and he is trying to adjust his jaw. Do be worry it will go with time...
Reply:I was gonna say that my 10 year old brother grinds his teeth in his sleep when were cold, but when we put on an extra blanket he stops.

Reply:Mine does that... they are just learning that they have teeth and what they can do with them. I think it is good because it is showing that they are learning there chewing technique
Reply:my son used to do that and he also does it in his sleep, i%26#039;ve noticed minor chipping on his teeth so anytime he does it i try to make him stop by telling him that it will break his teeth, i just dont want it to be a habit he carries and will have to have plenty of dental work over.
Reply:no it wont%26#039; hurt him, its just something he learned like you said. my kids did it and when they did it i would tell them no it hurt my ears. and sooner or later they out grew it.
