Unfortunately there isn%26#039;t much you can do to alleviate the grinding because he is so young there are no appliances he can wear yet, what you can do while you notice him grinding is gently reposition your son while sleeping, just a little, like turning his head or positioning his chin a little higher, it may take the direct pressure off the jaw position and the grinding issue.

Unfortunately grinding is quite common in small children
Reply:As of right now, there isn%26#039;t a whole lot that can be done until he is 2 years old, then he would be of age to go see the dentist. This can be a problem, but if it can be reversed early, the better because if his teeth may not develope fully if he grinds them, causing them to break, etc.

Talk to your local dentist, because it can be a continuous problem.
