Grinding teeth?
I%26#039;m not sure about calcium, but I am a chronic teeth grinder and have been since the age of 4 or 5.

No one solid reason causes teeth grinding. It could be that you are someone who is stressed and deal with it through grinding. It could also be a bad habit built up from childhood if you found it fun or interesting back then.

There is no scientifically proven cure to stop grinding although hypnotists claim it is possible. Your solution is to have a custom made retainer made for you and to wear this cover over your teeth when you sleep. It is better than having to deal with serious problems later on in life. Your retainer might break, and you may need to keep having new ones made.

Also stop chewing gum. If you constantly do so, your jaw gets use to the involuntary action of chewing (which is the same action as grinding) which will encourage grinding.

I hope another answerer can provide the calcium answer. Make an appointment with your dentist and have a chat.
Reply:no you don%26#039;t do it to get calcium, does that make sense, your body destroys its self its source of chewing to get small amounts of calcium? Its a common problem you just need a mouth guard. If you want calcium drink milk.
Reply:The grinding of teeth can be the result of stress obtained during waking hours... Perhaps this is the reason.

However, if it is simply lack of calcium, try: almonds, sesame seeds, and brocolli is really high in calcium.
