Cat grinding her teeth?

I have a cat that was born approximately the start of January. She suddenly, tonight i noticed started making this noise like crunching broken peices of hard plastic! Grinding is the best way it could be described. I immediately grabbed her and ran my hand over her throat to feel for any foreign objects, and i also looked in her mouth.... but there was nothing there and the grinding noise continues constantly, so i%26#039;m starting to think it%26#039;s her teeth. She has the same appetite/thirst, doesn%26#039;t have worms, is in good health as of her checkup about a week ago... what could be wrong... =(

Cat grinding her teeth?
Cats can only move their jaw up and down, but not sideways, so tecnically, they cannot %26quot;grind%26quot; their teeth. Get a second opinion on your cat%26#039;s condition from another vet. Maybe she%26#039;ll need x-rays.

I hope everything turns out OK!!
Reply:Mine did the same and when I took her to the vets they said that she had a very small piece of grass seed stuck between her teeth and she was just trying to get it out, the vet also said teeth grinding can just become a habit is some cats or they might have a tooth problem. My best advice to you is take her to the vets just to be sure, that way you can have peace of mind.
