Gritting and grinding your teeth?
he needs to go to the dentist and have a mouthguard made. if you cant afford it, go to walmart and get one from the dental aisle. they have ones you can mold to your teeth. its important to do because not only is it driving you nuts listening to it, its VERY bad on his teeth. he will wear them down and then have bad teeth and bite problems which will end up costing you more.
Reply:they make a plastic cap for the teeth to wear at night check with dentist his grinding can lead to problems like wearing down teeth or loose teeth
Reply:It may be due to stress, try to help the child relax. From http://drcaird.com
Reply:I work in dentistry. What you need to do is go see your dentists and have a biteplane made for him. I read some of the other answers and I seen one person mention a mouthguard. that is not correct. A mouthguard is what people who place sports such as football, hockey, etc.. A mouthguard helps protect teeth from impact so they do not get knocked out. A biteplane is a piece of very hard plastic that is fit perfectly to teeth. This will help him to stop grinding his teeth. He will not stop grinding this unfortunately is something that some people do. Instead he will grind on the plastic and save his teeth. Also it wont be as loud. Good luck
